Black cats are out at Halloween
And pumpkins are there to be seen
The thrill of spooky unlit night
The chill of almost every sight
Means Halloween is here at last
And thoughts are churning of the past
Like when your parents long ago
Did see the ghosts they know 'twas so
And have you heard those stories long
That whispered thru the wind's own song?
Just ask them and they'll pass them on
And you will know them before dawn!
The witches fly
Across the sky,
The owls go, “who who !”
The black cats yowl
And green ghosts howl,
“Scary Halloween to you !”
Tonight is the night
When dead leaves fly
Like witches on switches
Across the sky.
When elf and sprite
Flit through the night
On a moony sheen
It's Halloween!

When leaves make a sound
Like a gnome in his home
Under the ground.
When spooks and trolls
Creep out of holes
Mossy and green,

think they recognize us?

Our costumes are just perfect

And your belly is still big
You can't fool the public
Not even with a wig

Halloween's for kids you know

Doesn't matter what they ask
